It’s been a big week for all film and TV lovers!
Within the past week, the press tour for Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming film Challengers has begun. The film stars Zendaya, Joshua O’Connor, and Mike Faist. The three actors embarked on the first part of their press tour in Australia, attending the Australian premiere of Challengers and partaking in many interviews.
On Wednesday 3rd April, the trailer for CUCKOO, starring Euphoria star Hunter Schafer was released. The horror film follows Schafer’s character, Gretchen, as she is forced to move with her family to a resort where things are not as they seem. With Schafer’s seemingly short filmography, fans are thrilled to see her back on the screen in a new thrilling role.
On Thursday 4th April, the new Netflix mini series, Ripley, starring Andrew Scott and Dakota Fanning was released. The series follows a man named Ripley who is hired by a wealthy man to help convince his son to come back home from Italy. Set in 1960’s New York, this series will feature thrilling storylines and a period piece that you won’t want to miss out on.
Regarding music news from this past week, Billie Eilish began teasing new music by changing her social media layouts to feature a deep blue colour, and then putting up billboards around the world that say “Saw you turn around, but it wasn’t your face” in the same deep blue colour. Fans are speculating that this phrase is a lyric from her next release. She also added all followers to her close friends story in order to pre promote the albums release.
Also this past week, Charli XCX announced that her newest album titled “Brat” will be released on 7th June.
