There is no better way to begin this week’s rundown than by talking about Taylor Swift being Time Magazine’s 2023 Person of the Year. As Swift has been dominating the world since 2006, she is the perfect candidate for this year’s award.
Time Magazine touch on topics about her life and why she is so deserving of the award this year. One of the points being how talented she is at songwriting and storytelling.
Speaking of iconic women in the industry, Adele called Dua Lipa “the next big pop girl.” Adele was interviewed and gushed over Dua Lipa’s talent and loved her song “New Rules, (me too Adele)! Talent recognises talent so this is no surprise! ?
In other music news, The Beatles and AI….
In November, “Now and Then” by The Beatles was dropped. This track was a lost song but thanks to the power of AI, it allowed this – iconic – song to be released. Nearing the end of the year, the song made it onto MSN’s top songs of the year awards. While AI is scary, I am glad that this slay of a song was released out of it.
As the holidays are here (YAY!!), ‘Home Alone’ star Macaulay Culkin received his star in Hollywood. The infamous star is very deserving of this star and perhaps a trip to Hollywood is needed to see it in person lol.
